Peacefully on March 29, 2020 at the age of 71. Beloved wife of 42 years to Rodrigue (Rod) Thibodeau, cherished mother of Louise Soucy (nee Thibodeau), very proud and much loved Grandma of Haydn Soucy. Sister of Paul Lacelle and Normand Lacelle (Louise). Sister-in-law to Jean Guy (Steve), Donald (Cindy), James and David (Kelly). Dear aunt to many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by her parents Wilfrid Lacelle and Cecile Lacelle (nee Lalonde).
She will be remembered by numerous friends from around the world made in the course of her travels and military moves to Lahr (Germany) and Paris (France). We will always remember your strength, beautiful smile, kind and generous heart, and infectious laugh.
Our deepest thanks to the staff at the Elizabeth Bruyere Residence for the exceptional care she received. A memorial service will be held at a later date with interment of her cremated remains at the National Military Cemetery on the grounds of Beechwood. In memoriam donations to your local food bank to ease the strain caused by COVID-19 would be appreciated.
