It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Fahie on February 16, 2025, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Sandra (née Shaw) and devoted father to Jeff (Karen), and the proudest grandfather to his cherished granddaughter, Kaytlin Fahie, who brought immense joy to his life. He is survived by his brother Stephen (Jean), and was a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews who will deeply miss his presence in their lives. Terry was predeceased by his infant daughter Jennifer, his parents, James and Frances Fahie, and his brothers David and Kenny.

Terry dedicated over three decades of his life to serving his community as a civilian member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. His commitment to public service was a defining aspect of his character and career. Terry will be forever remembered by his extended family, friends, and former colleagues who knew him throughout his distinguished career with the RCMP.

Family, friends and colleagues are invited to gather and celebrate Terry’s life on Friday, February 28th 2025 at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa from 2:00 to 4:00pm.

Those wishing to honour Terry's memory may make donations to Prostate Cancer Research, a cause close to his heart. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.

One of the most difficult things to do in this life is to say good-bye to our very dear friends. Your passing is overwhelming to so many. Just know that the memories of all the good times, and some very difficult times that we both shared will remain with me always. It goes without saying that Margo and I will keep a watchful eye on Sandi, your dear wife and best friend.

Good-bye my friend, until we meet again.

So many great family memories that we shared over the years. He was a kind man with a great sense of humour who loved his baseball!
To my Aunt Sandi and my cousin Jeff and his family, we send our deepest condolences. To all who knew and loved him, we share in your grief and your sadness.

I was a CM like Terry and was fortunate to have received not only wonderful mentorship but also many years of friendship. Our duties at that time in the RCMP Fingerprint Bureau ran 24 hr shifts and as such developing close bonds. I cherish the memories of Terry and still remember his infectious laugh and quick wit that made shift work so much more enjoyable.
My prayers are with your family at this time.
