Randall Paul Hughes

Once in a while, someone absolutely unique and original comes into your life and opens your eyes to a different way of thinking. Randy was one of those people, and I can't start to count the ways he'll be missed. 

To the family, my deepest condolences... and please know that although Randy left all of us way too soon, he had already left a bigger mark on the world than most people ever do. 

I hope you have found peace, my friend.

Dearest Doreen, Paul, Kevin, Cathy, Adam and Brett, 

I don’t have the words to explain how much my heart hurts for you all - as it does for the many, many people who had the sheer joy of knowing Randy and who are, like me, grieving his loss. As my Mum often described him, Randy was a “one-off”; there was no one quite like him and my whole family still has such fond memories of him. 
Please know that you are all in my heart, held with love.

I worked with Randy at QNX Software Systems 25 years ago. We have remained friends ever since. I am deeply saddened to hear of his sudden passing. My deepest condolences to his family.

You left us too soon. I am so sorry that you didn't know how much you will be missed, by so many. 

Bruce and I can't imagine not having another chance to share a laugh and a great converstion with you. We both have so many great memories of fun times together with you. You were a great friend to both of us, reluctantly instrumental in our first meeting and a proud best man at our wedding two years ago. We will miss you so much.

Randy is not just friend for me. He influenced deeply into my life. I had lots of memory with him in Canada and Japan. Miss him so much.

I was so sorry and shocked to hear of Randy's passing. He had a brilliant mind and sharp wit which will be impossible to replace. I hope in time that your grief will ease and that the fond memories you have of Randy will be of comfort to you.

Randy was my friend. We played baseball and all kinds of sports together back in Queenswood Heights. We stayed in touch from time to time over social media. Again recently he made fun of me using a term that he heard my Dad use to describe some of my antics and that he throroughly enjoyed « punchy ». I will miss Randy. One of a kind. Rest my friend.
