Randall Paul Hughes

So sorry for your loss. Randy was an old friend of my brother Marc. I remember him fondly from so many years ago.

We have just been reading tributes to Randy. He is regarded as a kind and loving person to all. Many positive adjectives are used to describe his values and achievements, all of which are true. We have also been looking at the picture of Randy with you at your 50th Anniversary and remembering it as a very special occasion.

I was so sorry to hear of Randy's passing. Please know that my Thoughts and Prayers are with you Doreen and Paul.

Mr. & Mrs. Hughes and Kevin. We never met, but I know Randy adored you. He was my very good friend, from the day we met. He was incorrigible, inappropriate when he felt like it..and always a very good friend. I admired his integrity, his finely tuned intellect, wit and wisdom and his empathy. I will miss him forever. He taught me a lot and his generous spirit knew no bounds. I will never forget the many good times we had. RPH, you are such a good man and friend. He called me Kid or Spacey.

To Paul, Doreen, Kevin, Adam, Brett and all other family members and friends of Randy, please accept my heartfelt condolences. Randy was truly remarkable in so many ways. A gentleman... a renaissance man... a straight shooter... a storyteller... always fair... always helpful... I will miss and cherish the memory of all conversations he and I had, and the fascinating tangents towards which they so often veered. Randy left this world far too soon.

Randall you were a good man. Quick to laugh and tell a joke. Helpful to those in need. 

I always enjoyed our time together. You and your wit ( and accents) will be missed at our quarterly gatherings. We also talked a lot about tech, bounced ideas off each other but it always turned into a laugh. 

You will be missed.

I really don't know where to start. I met Randy working at Dominion grocery store in Orleans when I was 15. Since that time I have known Randy for 40 years. Too many good times and boys trips to count. Always there to count on, have an opinion, give that grin, and stretch you. I really appreciated his big heart and kindness to volunteer to help out my parents. You don't find many people that have these qualities. His wit and personality are one of a kind. My quarterly visits out to Ottawa will never be the same without Randy joining the boys for a night out and good conversation. This still has not computed with me. God, I miss you Randy. Your friend forever. Brian.
