We lost our beloved Aline, mother, wife and sibling very suddenly on May 3rd, 2019. Aline fell ill on April 1st. In her typically positive and selfless manner, she told her loved ones it was the worst April fools’ joke ever. Aline lived her life with kindness, humor, positivity, generosity and a passion for all that she undertook. Looking back at the way she lived, her family takes comfort in knowing that she lived the way she wanted. Aline was unapologetically herself and that was the best part of her.
It's so difficult to capture everything that Aline was. What will be remembered is that she never did anything half way. She was excited at the prospect of learning and conquering new things; her beautiful gardens at her Ottawa and Mattawa homes, her gift for photography, her love of cooking. She loved throwing a good party. She was unforgettable.
She excelled as a self-taught technical writer. She leaves behind a work family and a job she didn't see ending any time soon.
She will be missed by her loving husband Mauro, daughter Chanel (Mathieu), grandson Alec, siblings Hélène (André), Claude (Monique), Pauline (Peter). Aline will also be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Aline was predeceased by her brother and great buddy Roger (Lauren) on March 23rd, 2019.
A private interment will be held at the Beechwood Cemetery, and a celebration of Aline's life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in honor of Aline can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Aline, I am still in utter disbelief that you are no longer with us. Everyday seems harder than the last and I mourn your loss with deep sadness. We were friends for over 40 years through all the ups and downs, the good and bad days but still kept that very special connection. There is so much that I can say but I think that over the years, we have already told each other everything that we have wanted to say.
You have raised an amazing daughter and lived your life happily with a husband who cared and loved you deeply and most importantly made you laugh.
Rest peacefully and I will be seeing you again.
