Maurice passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Cody) for 63 years. Loving father of Linda (late Alan Trafford), Lisa-Gay (Leonard Petrus), Marc (Janice), Jo-Ann (Eugenio Ojeda) and Danielle. He will be missed by his six grandchildren: Paul, Brian and Blake Trafford, Claire Petrus, and Jehanne and Camille Lafrenière, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Romuald and Elizabeth (nee McCann), his siblings Michèle, Louis (late Joyce Lusk), Isobel and Robert (Marilyn).
The family would like to especially thank Dr. Xinni Song, oncologist, and all the doctors and caring staff at the Ottawa General Hospital, the Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre at the Queensway Carleton Hospital and the Hospice at May Court.
Friends and Family are invited to visit Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery & Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 11AM until a Celebration of Life in the Sacred Space of Beechwood at 12noon. Reception to follow.
