It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Cheuk-Yee Tam on September 30, 2019. He was surrounded by family, where after years of battling cancer, he peacefully passed away at home at the age of 66. He will be forever loved and missed by his wife of 42 years, Maggie, his four children: Jennifer (Terry), Angela (Jeremy), Rosanna, and Samantha, and seven grandchildren.  He leaves behind his mother, two brothers, two sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and cherished friends.

Peter will be remembered for his hard work ethic and love for his family.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave., Ottawa on Saturday, October 12 from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Prostate Cancer Canada (https://www.prostatecancer.ca). In order to notify his family of your donation, memorial cards will be available for you to complete at Beechwood National Memorial Centre.

My heart goes out to Maggie, Rosanna, Jennifer, Angela and Samantha.
I am Trudel very sorry for your loss. He was a kind, generous and caring man. A man we can all learn from. He was an extremely hard worker and dedicated to his family. I have and will always have the utmost respect for him.
May god watch over him and and those close to him.

I took me this long time to have the courage to write this. My heart still aches Peter. Miss you so so so much. Remember the time I met Jimmy and that was the time I met you and the rest of the families. The time we spend working together at the restaurant, the time you taught me how to cook and the conversation we had and you always liked to mess up my hair whenever you saw me. You always treated me like your own sister. When I saw you in pain and suffering, we all felt so helpless and heartbroken. Now you are no longer suffering and you are free. You were a good father, a good brother, grandfather, a strong and an extremely hard working man. We are very proud of you and we respect you a lot. Your memory will live on with us Peter. I am sure you are watching over your love ones each and every single day. Till we meet again Peter
