Robert Croteau

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Croteau announces his passing on Saturday, August 7, 2021.

Bob leaves behind his beloved wife Maureen, his son, Guy (Lise), his daughter Diane, his grandson Simon, and his great-grandson Frédéric. He also leaves behind his loving brothers Edward "Dick", (Nicole) and Pierre (Ginette deceased), and his loving sister, Elaine Owen (David deceased). Bob will also be missed by his step-sons and daughters Roy, Robert, Janet and MaryAnn, as well as many step-grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, and enjoyed their company whenever he could.

Robert was an insurance adjustor all his life starting with his own business in Hull and then with many companies for more than 30 years in Los Angeles.  He also enjoyed his frequent trips to Las Vegas where he and Maureen would gamble and take in the shows.  Like all good gamblers, Robert had “a system” which the casinos were not able to break.  To him it was a hobby at which he excelled.  His other hobby was model trains.  He loved to lay out tracks so it was technologically challenging to get one train across many lines with all the switches he had Guy connect under his huge table.  He enjoyed the challenge of figuring the intricacies involved in laying out the tracks.  After retiring, Robert and Maureen moved to Montreal near his twin brother Dick.  Then they moved to Orléans where they spent their time with friends and family.   He will be sadly missed...
