The family announces with heavy hearts that our beloved Father Joseph Doy-Yat has passed away. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Monday June 21st, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. He really was such a fighter through the last 5 years. He is predeceased by his Mother Barbara and Father Robert. Joseph is survived by his three daughters Katrina (Andrew), Kayla, Kaitlin Lloyd (Kyle). The love of his life and Mother to his three daughters Sandra. He will be forever missed by his three granddaughters AdaLynn, Saige and Lilly. He will also be greatly missed by his brothers Robert and Jason(Jocelyn). His uncle Eddy, his nieces and nephew Amber, Letitia, Lucas, Lesley and Abbey. He will be truly missed by his many Aunts and Uncles especially Aunt Sharon and Uncle Ian. Aunt Gail and Uncle Richard. Uncle Barry(late Rosanna) Aunt Trude and Uncle Stein. He will also be great missed by his many cousins and many friends that he considered family.
His family would like to thank everyone that was apart of his team at the General Hospital. As well as the Riverside hospital in the Hemodialysis unit for their care, kindness and compassion. As well as we would like to thank the team at Community Palliative Care, the Champlain and Bytown group of Doctors for all their hard work, support and care for our dad in the last month. There will be a private celebration of life on July 10th, 2021.
Till memory fades and life departs, you live forever in our hearts. We love you and miss you dearly.
