After a long and wonderful life, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ausma Purvins (née Andrejsons) age 97, at dawn on May 25, 2021. Beloved wife for 42 years of the late Laimons Purvins (1988). Devoted mother to her daughters Renata (Todd) Gow and the late Ingrid (Aris) Ivanovs (2012). Dear “Nana” of grandchildren Connor, Megan, and Mackenzie Gow. Predeceased by her parents Mikelis and Carolin Andrejsons.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Peter D. Clark Centre for their compassion and dedication to her care. Ausma was known for her kindness, gentleness and was so well-loved, and will be dearly missed by everyone. She will always be remembered for her love of Hawaiian dancing, her passion for dessert, her grace and elegance, and for so much more.

Renata and family, we are so sorry for your loss. We are blessed to have known her and witness her incredible, artistic spirit. The fashionista, with beautiful hats and scarves, that she wore so well. She will be missed, but she has left you so many memories to call upon for comfort. Deepest sympathies.
