Passed away peacefully on February 25, 2021 at the age of 92. Les leaves behind his loving wife of 71 years, Joyce Winifred (née Tester). He will be dearly missed by his daughter Kathie Little (Peter), sons Michael (Juanita) and David (Kathryn), his grandchildren Simon, Tristram, Niki, Breanna, Samantha, Robert, Laura and Jaspyn and by his five great-grandchildren. Les was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, a National President of the Korea Veterans Association, a Past Master of Defenders Lodge #590, a former Commanding Officer of #2870 Ottawa Service Battalion Cadet Corps and a Liaison Officer for the Army Cadet League. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at the Ottawa General Hospital for their care and compassion during his final hours. A private graveside service will take place at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Ave.). In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Ottawa Humane Society or the Queensway Carleton Hospital.
