Passed away peacefully at home on July 23, 2020 at the age of 98. Helen was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, daughter of the late Frances and Raymond Mulcahy and sister of the late Ernie Mulcahy. She married Edward “Ted” Ricketts (now deceased) of Canso, Nova Scotia, and led the life of a military wife for many years, making a home for her family in various Canadian and European cities before settling down in Ottawa. She is survived by daughter Maura (Laurence), sons Michael (Jane) and Ernest (Monique), and granddaughter Amanda.
Helen will be interred during a private graveside ceremony at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, the Ottawa Humane Society, or Support Our Troops.
