With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Catherine Kam Yuk Seto (née Wong) on March 20, 2020, at the age of 71. Loving wife to Philip Gene Hip Seto. Dear mother to Linda (Roy), and James; and stepmother to Susan (Detlef) and May (Steve). Proud grandmother to Hannah, Adrianna, Sebastian, Colin, and Leanna.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Extendicare Laurier Manor for their compassionate care and support.
Given current concerns regarding the Covid-19 pandemic and travel, the family has elected a private visitation and burial.

My Aunt Catherine was a pure kind soul on this planet. She carried many different lives and disciplines. She could command the difficult language of Chinese and write poetry with it. A friendly restauranteur, one of the first in the city during a time when Ottawa was so young, not much Chinese cuisine nor culture developed yet. She doted greatly on her children, her loved ones, any one who came across her received genuine love and care. May you rest in peace dearest Aunt Catherine. Much love, Anita
Catherine was my wife Erika's roommate. We loved Catherine and enjoyed talking with her.
