Doris Marie Saueracker (nee Rivers), 85 years young of Ottawa Ontario, passed away Sunday 29 December 2019 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Born in Sudbury Ontario; daughter of Joseph Albert Rivers and Ida Eleanor Rivers (nee Land). Doris was a long-standing member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Ottawa and a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 625.
She is survived by her children; Randy (Laura) of Edmonton AB, Cristel of Plantagenet ON and Leonhard of Ottawa ON. 15 Grandchildren, 17 Great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the loving older sister of Linda Bertrand.
She was predeceased by her husband, Heinrich, son Rudi (Emilie) of Dieppe NB daughter Marlene Piskardelis of Greece, and Ron of Ottawa ON and brother Fred/Sonny (Lynda/Skippy).
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Doris’ favourite causes; the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Canada or to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
Mom, Grandma and Auntie, you were and are so very loved. We know that Rudi, Marlene, and Ron will take good care of you in your new heavenly home. Another angel got her wings on Sunday and can watch over us here.
