Predeceased in 2015 by his dedicated and loving wife of 63 years, Edna Lorraine (Dumas) McKnight. Beloved father of Don (Deirdre Chisholm), Gail Sharpley (Robert), Mark (Jane Coram), and Marilyn (Dan MacNeil). Missed by his loving grandchildren—Robin Duncan McKnight, Bryan and Kyler Sharpley, Evan McKnight, and Cameron and Ereth McKnight-MacNeil—and their partners. Also missed by his brother Ronald Garbett. Predeceased by his beloved mother, Edith Florence (Young) Garbett, and by his estranged father, Floyd Carruthers McKnight. Our heartfelt thanks to Ted’s lifelong friends Bev Williams and her husband Al, and to all of Ted’s friends-in-retirement, previous co-workers at the federal Forest Products Laboratories of Ottawa. Our family is grateful to Dr. Leonard Bloom for his intelligent and compassionate care of our father, and to Dr. Anne Hamilton and the many staff at Perley Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre, and to his dedicated and caring private care giver, Yvonne Menger. Fond memories of going to see a Fellini movie and snowshoeing with Ted in the dead of winter many long years ago in Ottawa. Also many interesting conversations with him at the Perley when my Mother was a resident there. My condolences to his family and friends.
