In her 96th year, Grace passed peacefully at Élisabeth Bruyère Hospice on Saturday, July 18, 2020. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jack, 2001, her much loved daughter Dale Boyd, 2009 (late John Sammon), her two sisters, Ina Arlene (late Ray Burnett), and Leila Susanne McLinton. She leaves behind her devoted daughter Lynda (Jean Genier), granddaughter Shannon Lambert (Alex Bender), grandson David Bright, great-granddaughters Chloe and Ella Lambert and Samantha Bright, as well as a large extended family, whose company she truly enjoyed. Grace will be fondly remembered by her niece, Trudy (Curly Charron), and will be missed by her friends, all of whom have kept in touch and visited on a regular basis over the years. Her constant companion, cat Bailey, now resides with Grace's loyal and compassionate caregiver, Amanda Braithewaite, for whose care the family will be forever thankful. We are also grateful for the management and staff at Windsor Park Retirement Residence, where Grace lived since early last year, for their caring ways and individual attention. Thanks also to staff at the General Hospital and Élisabeth Bruyère for their care in her final days. In these uncertain times, there will be no visitation. A private Graveside Service will be held at a later date at Beechwood Cemetery.
