Paul Pawliuk, 92, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 18, 2019, at The Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre in Ottawa. Born on November 20, 1927, in Vegreville, AB. He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Joan. Paul is survived by his four much loved children Deborah (Robert) David of Courtney, BC, Philip (Janet) of Kingston, ON, Richard (Tracy) of Ottawa and Barbara (Robert) Erlandson of Ottawa; his grandchildren of whom he was so proud Stephanie Collinson of Nelson, BC, Christopher (Bethany) Pawliuk of Kingston, ON, Kyle Pawliuk of Vancouver, BC, Evan (Jacquelyn) Pawliuk of Toronto, ON, Matthew Dickey of Ottawa, Andrew (Kendall) Erlandson of Petawawa, ON and Leah (Michael) Farber of Ottawa, and six great grandchildren who provided him with joy Hannah, Maya, and Ella Collinson, Isabelle and Oliver Pawliuk and Reagan Farber.

Paul was a long-time member of the RCAF, serving 25 years before retiring to civilian life. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea. In retirement, Paul and Joan spent many years traveling from the Middle East and Europe to Hawaii and all points in between.

A Celebration of Paul's Life will be held in the Hall of Colours at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery & Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, from 12 - 2 PM on May 9, 2020.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Perley for the attention and care Paul received during his stay.

So sorry to hear about Paul's passing so soon after Joan. My father, Lloyd Devereaux, served in the Air Force with Paul and they were friends as well. My condolences to the family.
