Paul Aldège Martin, 64, on September 24th, Ottawa.

A kind and loving man has started his souls journey to the next adventure. Paul will be forever deeply loved by his wife Nancy, son Phil (Katherine) granddaughters Hailie and Kayla and son Luc (Melissa) grandsons Noah and Thomas. He was loved by his step daughters, Olivia Sullivan (Marcus) and Alanna Yaraskavitch, his brother Richard, sister Suzanne Roy (Denis), sister Sylvie, brother Jacques (Sylvie) and sister-in-laws Nicole and Louise. He was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews and by his aunt Pierrette. He leaves his faithful furry friend Buddy Holly and many very special lifelong and new friends and neighbours behind. Paul was predeceased by his parents Simone and Aldège and beloved brothers Denis and Jean-Luc.

He was former owner of Martin Trophies and had worked as a lineman and repair technician for Bell. He was a favourite teammate on many hockey ( Navan Grads), baseball and curling teams and a fair referee. Paul loved babies, puppies, monkeys, the Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots and ice cream. He loved to travel to Fenway and play in the Atlantic waves in the Caribbean. He was generous and kind. He hated how Alzheimer’s robbed him of more time with all of these loves.  Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Ave.) on Monday, September 30th, 2019 from 10am to 12noon, followed by the memorial service. To honour Paul, he insists that you wear your favourite sports jersey in lieu of usual memorial attire. If inclined, please consider a donation to Jumpstart, to ensure kids in need have equal access to sports and physical activity.

Paul was the man you would always see smiling. He was one of the most good natured humans i've had the pleasure of befriending. Paul will be missed immensily. #GoBoston#
