Born October 15th, 1937, in Sault Ste Marie, ON. Mary passed away, in Ottawa on September 18th, 2021, at the age of 83. Dear wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to many. Mary is survived by her husband Huibert, daughters Claire (Steve McCaughan), Michelle Mulligan, Caroline (Chris Dejardin) and son Paul. Proud grandmother to Matt, Ryan, Katie, Stephanie, Hannah, Sophie, Leah, Brian, Brandon, the late Jacob and late Nicholas, great-grandmother to Traill.
Mary kept in constant touch with her classmates from the Lorraine School of Nursing in Pembroke. She loved being a nurse and working in public health. Mary’s hands were never idle as she was always knitting, sewing, cross stitching, paper crafting and quilting with the many friends that she made along the way. Mary loved to travel and always had stories to tell of the family’s adventures.
Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 12 noon until time of service at 1 p.m. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Priests of Sacred Heart, 192 Daly Ave, Ottawa, ON, the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice.
