À la douce mémoire de Luc Belec,
C'est avec le cœur lourd que nous annonçons le décès de Luc Belec, qui nous a quitté le 14 février, suite à un diagnostic de cancer. Lucien "Luc" Belec fils de feu Imelda Brunelle et feu Hormidas Belec, précédé par son épouse Linda David et son frère Raymond (Yvette).
Luc laisse dans le deuil sa conjointe Louise Letarte, ses belles filles Isabelle (Patrick), Fabi, son beau-frère Jean, sa petite fille par alliance Emilie, ses nièces Marie, Lynn (Yvon) et de nombreux parents et amis.
Âme organisée et déterminée, Luc a surmonté chaque défi avec dignité et détermination jusqu’à son dernier souffle. Avant tout, Luc aimait profondément la vie. Il trouvait de la beauté dans les petits instants, abordait chaque projet avec enthousiasme et inspirait ceux qui l’entouraient par son sourire, sa résilience et sa joie de vivre. Il avait une affection particulière pour les animaux (Cami et Eddy), les considérant comme une véritable partie de la famille.
Connu pour sa gentillesse, son intégrité et sa compassion, Luc avait un esprit brillant et une âme bienveillante qui ont touché de nombreuses vies.
Sa vie avait de l'importance, elle inspirait et élevait ceux qui l'entouraient. Il manquera énormément à tous ceux qui l'ont connu, mais son souvenir restera à jamais gravé dans leurs mémoires.
Une célébration de sa vie aura lieu le samedi 1 mars 2025 à 13h au centre commémoratif national Beechwood, situé au 280 avenue Beechwood à Ottawa. La famille recevra les condoléances à compter de 11h30. En lieu de fleurs, vos marques de sympathie peuvent se traduire par un don à la Société canadienne du cancer.

In Loving Memory of Luc Belec,
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Luc Belec, who left us on February 14th following a cancer diagnosis. Lucien ''Luc'' was the beloved son of the late Hermidas Belec and late mother Imelda Brunelle, predeceased by his wife, Linda David and brother Raymond (Yvette).
Luc is mourned by his partner Louise Letarte, his stepdaughters Isabelle (Patrick), Fabi, brother-in-law Jean, step grandchild Emilie, his nieces Marie, Lynn ( Yvon) and countless other friends and loved ones who will continue to cherish his memory.
Organized and determined, Luc overcame every challenge with dignity and strength until the very end. Above all, Luc had a deep love for life. He found beauty in the small moments, approached every project with enthusiasm, and inspired those around him with his smile, resilience, and joy for life.
Known for his kindness, integrity, and compassion, Luc had a brilliant mind and a caring soul that touched many lives. His life mattered, inspiring, and uplifting those around him. He had a special affection for animals (Cami and Eddy), considering them an integral part of the family.
Luc will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will forever remain etched in their hearts.
A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday March 1, 2025 at 1 pm at the Beechwood national memorial centre, located at 280 Beechwood Ave, in Ottawa. The family will receive condolences as of 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, your expressions of sympathy can be made as a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Our Taggart YMCA has lost an exceptional man! Luc’s warm, compassion and dedication was above reproach. When a fitness buddy needed help, Luc was there! I was fortunate to have Luc in our classes for many many many years and we would too often laugh at each other mischievous humour! He especially rose to the occasion when I’d call him Father Luc. I will miss your joyful light!
