It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Laura Ouimet Harris. Beloved wife of Mike Harris, daughter of Raymond and Lesley, and sister of Andrew. Laura will be greatly missed by family and friends. Laura overcame significant medical issues her entire life and the challenges she faced made her exceptionally kind and caring. Her love of animals knew no limits and she would take in every stray she came across, reluctantly sending them to their forever homes. She cherished family, especially the older members and went out of her way to spend time with them. Laura was immune compromised and she spent her final days reminding everyone to protect vulnerable people. Laura spent far too much time at CHEO and the Ottawa General Hospital. Special thanks go to the nephrology, transplant and ICU teams. In addition, we would like to personally thank Dr. Arianne Buchan and PA Mike Harris for their kindness, compassion and care over the years. A service will be held later in the year. Laura loved gerbera daisies, so plant some in your garden in memory of her. Laura was the recipient of an amazing wish from the Children’s Wish Foundation and donations in her memory would be a lovely way to pay it forward.

Ray and leslie,and andrew..you all are in my thoughts and prays,i can still remember talking to he er every weekend.i cant still believe she is gone.leslie is there anyway i can get some updated pictures of laura.i love you guys forever in my heart....
