With a very broken heart we are announcing that Kobe James Muñoz, son of Jessica Lilian Marie Andrews Stockbrugger & Jonah Peter Rafael Muñoz, passed away Thursday September 9 at eleven minutes passed midnight peacefully in the loving arms of his parents. This little angel was just approaching 4 days old as he was born at 4:49 am on Sunday September 5th at the Ottawa General Hospital. Although he was only with us for a short time he was so dearly loved by family and friends, and has left a hole in our hearts we never knew we needed to fill. We wish to express our endless gratitude to the Ottawa General Hospital Labour & Delivery and NICU Teams, in particular Roxanne, for her/their dedicated care, professional and flexibility during this time.
Survived by Great Grandparents Lana Laclare (nee Julie Andrews), Lyle Bentley, Margarita ‘Weeta’ Muñoz (nee Adrian), Peter & Trudy Walsh, and Lynda Walsh (nee McInall); Grandparents Shanna Andrews, Barry ‘Bear’ Stockbrugger, Luis Manuel ‘Manny’ & Kimberly ‘Kim’ Muñoz (nee Walsh); Uncle Kaden James Stockbrugger and Aunties Hayley & Abigail Muñoz. Predeceased by Great Grandfather Rafael Muñoz & Lorne Stockbrugger and Great Grandmother Gail Stockbrugger.
A small funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday September 16th at the Beechwood Funeral and Cemetery where dear Kobe will be laid to rest near his Great Grandfather Rafael Muñoz & Great Uncle Jose Muñoz. Invited guest are asked to arrive at 12:00 where they will be greeted by the family, and staff will complete COVID screening. Additional guest that wish to join the procession and meet at the plot for the internment are welcome to arrive at 1:30 in the Beechwood parking lot (please remain in your car until the procession starts). Facility staff will then escort all parties to the location of internment for the graveside service.
