It is with heartfelt sadness we announce that John Edward McCormick passed away peacefully in his sleep September 30, 2021. John was the loving husband of 58 years to Anne (Tabor) and dear father of Trish Malloy (Peter), Susan Freiwald (Bob), Nancy (Patrick Calnan) and Michael (Kelly St. Jacques).
Pops was the loving grandfather to Tara, Shannon, Seamus, Jason, Matthew, Jack, Owen, Mia, Owen John, and Liam.
John was the loving brother of Robert (Jackie) and uncle to Leslie McCormick. He is predeceased by his sister Pat McCormick and nephew John McCormick.
John completed his law degree in 1963 at Queens University and after three years in private practice in Morrisburg joined the Federal Government as a Labour Lawyer for 34 years.
John lived a full life, enjoyed traveling with close friends, fishing and spending time at their Florida home.
A private memorial service will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021.

We didn't get to know Mr. McCormick, but heard beautiful things from him through his family (Mike, Kelly and the kids). We offer you our deepest sympathies during these difficult times.
