My deepest sympathies to the family. Since I work at Justice, it was one my favourite place to eat something. I loved the fact he would make middle-east food like my grandma used to. Gus was always smiling and cheering. You will be missed Gus...

I am so sad to hear of Gus' passing. My heartfelt condolences to his family.
I worked in the building above Delikat Café, Gus, as he was known to us, was always there with a friendly hello, obliging and kind, and so hardworking! Know that Gus touched many people in his life, in such a positive way, and that he will be greatly missed

I'm so sorry to hear about the death of Gus. I was a regular at the Delikat, and it was always a pleasure to talk with him, or just to watch him work, as I waited for my meal. He was a master at what he did. He made his restaurant a warm and welcoming place, and he will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends at their loss.

My sincere condolences. Gus was a lovely and caring person who will be missed by so many. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Returning to St. Andrews Tower will not be the same without his presence.

Ihab, Jean-Pierre, Leila,
I will miss Gus so much. He was always very kind to me, as he was to everyone he met. And he was so proud of you! Seeing his smiling face was the highlight of my day for 12 years. I will think of him every time I make lentil soup - although it will never be as good!

I am so glad I got to know Gus and saw him every working day for many years. He taught me some Arabic (and Adnand often offered different pronunciations) and even during COVID I called aug 20ths to wish him a happy birthday in Arabic. I was happy he met my wife and children and I met his children on occasion in the store. We spoke of much together and he loved his family so much. His is a special soul. My deepest sympathies.

Gus and Delikat Café were a staple in the lives of Justice Canada employees and certainly a large part of breakfast hour, lunch and afterhours when I used to work at St. Andrew's tower. Gus was wonderfully pleasant, knew all of us by name and meal preference and made my day so special. He was also very generous with all of his customers and with our homeless population, always extending a helping hand. I will remember him fondly. Know that your husband, father and friend is and always be treasured by all.
