Passed away peacefully January 5, 2025, at the age of 91. Beloved husband, father, brother and friend. Frank has left this earth to be with his wife Helen and daughter Karyn. He is leaving behind his son Terry (Helena), sister Mary (Ray) St Amand, and many dear friends and relatives. Frank lived his whole life in Ottawa, where he had a long government career. His greatest passion was to play, coach and watch sports, while socializing with friends. As an amazing fan of the Ottawa 67’s he had season tickets for 35 years. Frank was a passionate volunteer throughout his life, dedicating countless hours to Children’s Aid, the Kidney Foundation, the Heart and Stroke foundation, and a number of sports organizations in Orleans. Frank was truly one of a kind, and his big smile and humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends are invited to the funeral service on Saturday, Jan 11, 2 pm, at St Helen’s Anglican Church, 1234 Prestone Dr, Orleans.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke foundation.

Thinking of you Terry, your dad lit up a room and your parents we're so very kind; we have very fond memories of them both. What a wonderful legacy your dad leaves with you, to have touched so many lives through his kindness. My heartfelt condolences.

Dear Terry and family
We send you and your family, our sincere condolences. As a fellow proctor at Carleton University, I enjoyed Frank’s company on many exam sessions. He was firm but kind to the students. His favourite saying to those that looked “anxious”: I can see you are destined for great things.
His generous smile and Bender wisdom will be treasured by all those who knew him.

Frank always made me smile whenever he walked into the Proctor room at Carleton University as we were getting our exams for distribution. Whether it was a small classroom or the big Field House or Gym it was a pleasure to stand beside him as a co-worker. He was always professional and a gentleman. I remember one night in particular when an exam finished so late and he walked us to our cars. A gentleman to the very end. Thank you for being you, Frank... you will be missed by so many! Helen is waiting for you at the Gates. ??????

I am one of the lucky ones who really got to spend time with Frank. We went to football and hockey games, out to our favourite pub and at the residence I would bring a bottle of wine and we would play cribbage and checkers. He was so full of life, was a great storyteller and lit up a room with his smile and family. May you rest in peace and can finally see your wife Helen. Thinking of you Terry and Helena.

To Terry, family and friends,
My sincere condolences to you all. I have fond memories of Frank as my fastball coach in the early '80s. I totally enjoyed the rides to tournaments in the yellow car. He would fit 4 players in that car. Oh how we laughed - the never-ending stories and the music. I am proud to say I lived on Belcourt Blvd. which now named after Frank. And not long ago, I was talking about Karyn. Her passing was a shock to me. She was so young. Rest in Peace Frank!? The Orleans community was very lucky to have you around and be a role model for so many young lives. Terry, I am very sorry for your loss.

Who else do you know has a street named after him.
Frank was the only guy I've seen meet ladies of all ages and within minutes have their phone numbers.
What a guy? He really was the "best" of what society has to offer.
We will all miss the cute bald-headed rotund little guy.
I'm sorry to miss his send-off.
Ottawa 67's
On behalf of the entire Ottawa 67's team and OSEG, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for the laughs, the memories, and the love you brought, Frank. You were an integral part of our family, and your presence will be deeply missed.

Frank was always a joy to work with while proctoring at Carleton and very entertaining and fun on the more social occasions. I appreciated his unfailing quirky sense of humor and admired his unfailing dedication to his community. Now he is reunited with the love of his life. My prayers are with his family and friends during this sad season. He will be missed.
I only worked with Frank a couple of times but- what a character! He will be missed by many!
