With tremendous sadness we announce that Andrew passed away peacefully, at Royal Victoria Hospital, on Sunday, March 14th, after a battle with cancer. He leaves behind his life partner Andras Molnar, along with his brothers James and Bruce (Ross) of Toronto, ON. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Beth of Kingston, ON. Together with his life partner, Andrew loved spending time working in his garden and tending to the incredible flower garden they lovingly created. His love of music eventually led him to St. Barnabas Anglican Church in St. Lambert, QC, where he played the organ and led the choir. Andrew's passing leaves a great loss for many in his church family at St. Barnabas, and around the diocese. Andrew will also be missed by his colleagues at McGill University where he was an Academic Affairs Officer. A celebration of Andrew's life will take place at 2pm on Saturday September 11th at St. Barnabas Church, followed by a private interment of ashes at Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa. The family wishes to express its gratitude to Rev. Brian Perron and the medical team at the Royal Victoria Hospital for providing Andrew with comfort and care. In lieu of flowers, donations in Andrew's memory may be made to St. Barnabas Church, at 95 Avenue Lorne, Saint-Lambert, QC J4P 2G7.
