Ai Chau, 60, passed away on March 8th, 2021 from complications caused by a heart attack and cardiac arrest. Ai fought courageously through his illness for three weeks before he passed away surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Hội An, Vietnam on May 12, 1960, Ai came to Canada as a teenager and studied at the University of Ottawa. Graduating with a degree in Computer Mathematics, Ai spent the last two decades of his professional career with the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board (PMPRB), where his work contributed towards countless PMPRB reports.

Outside of work, Ai enjoyed spending time with his family, going on vacations, and long drives with his wife. Ai will forever be remembered for his selflessness, dependability, and always putting the needs of his family over his own.

Ai is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Minh, his son, An and his siblings, Ngoc, Nhung, Anh, Khanh, Tu, and Nga.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation, services for Mr. Ai Tuan Chau are private, by invitation only.

Nguyên Ngữ là anh. Nguyên Ngữ và Ái Ngữ. Nhẹ nhàng, thương yêu...

"Ngày Vui Qua Mau" vẫn văng vẳng bên tai. Mình "dụ" anh thức dậy để lau nước mắt cho em út. Nhưng anh không chịu nghe. Mình biết mình ích kỷ. Đến lúc anh phải ra đi rồi. Anh về bình yên nhé.

Nguyên Ngữ - Kind Speech. What better dharma name could be given? Your gentleness and soft-spoken words...

The song you sang is still imprinted in my mind. I tricked you into waking up to wipe the tears off your little brother. I failed. How selfish I was! It was time for you to return. May peace be with you always...

Ai is a person of a few words but he’s a man of his words. We had so many great memories growing up together. We both love singing. One time we sang duet at a Christmas party and had a blast. We’d love to do it again but opportunity never arises.

He’d always been very kind and supportive. He would get up in the middle of the night to give you a ride home. Despite of his health, he still offered to help you move if he knew that you needed help.

He’s such an amazing individual. I still cannot believe that he’s not here anymore. He’ll be missing so many wonderful things in life awaiting for him. I can wipe the tears in my eyes but can’t wipe the pain in my heart ?
Rest In Peace anh Aí ?
