With deeply saddened hearts we announce that Joan passed away peacefully on November 1, 2019. She was 80 years old. Joan will be dearly missed by all who knew her and especially Ed, her devoted husband of 61 years. Joan is also survived by her daughters Lorna (Chuck), Donna (Christophe), Linda (Rob), son David (Sandy) and grandchildren Bryan, Lisa, Kevin, Andrea, Lorène, Sonia, Halle, Dean, Jake and Lyndsy, sisters Carol (Johnny) and Diane. Joan leaves a huge void in the hearts of those she leaves behind. We remember her love of family, music, dancing, cooking, needlework, sewing, all sports and the joy she brought to others. Joan knew in her final days that she was held in the loving embrace of her family. We are very grateful for the kindness and support of the staff at Bearbrooke Retirement Residence. Friends and relatives are invited to meet the family at Good Shepherd Parish, 3092 Innes Rd, at 10 AM Wednesday, November 6, Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM. A celebration of Joan’s life and sing along will follow in the church hall. For those who wish to honour Joan’s memory with a charitable donation, please consider Pancreatic Cancer Canada in lieu of flowers.
