It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thérèse Cook (née Cooper), on September 23rd, 2019, at the age of 76. Beloved wife of Ross for 51 years; loving mother to Christina (Michael) and Sandra (Jason); proud grandmother (Moma) to Daniel, James and Hunter. She also leaves behind her brothers, Maurice (the late Simone), Albert (Christine) and Narcisse Jr., as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Marie (Cusson) and Narcisse; her step-father, William Guigue; her sisters, Thérèse Rose, Galamine Françoise, Marguerite (Roger), Alice (Gaston) and Cécile; and her eldest brother, Wilfred (Jeanine).
She was a remarkable woman with an incredible inner strength. She will be missed by her extended family and friends, but will live on in our hearts.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 11th at 10 am in the Sacred Space of the Beechwood National Memorial Centre (280 Beechwood Avenue). The family will be present as of 9:30 am to receive condolences.

Épouse bien aimée de Ross depuis 51 ans; tendre mère de Christina (Michael) et Sandra (Jason); fière grand-mère (Moma) de Daniel, James et Hunter. Elle laisse aussi dans le deuil ses frères, Maurice (feu Simone), Albert (Christine) et Narcisse Jr., ainsi que plusieurs nièces, neveux et ami(e)s. Elle a été prédécédée par ses parents, Marie (Cusson) et Narcisse; son beau-père, William Guigue; ses soeurs, Thérèse Rose, Galamine Françoise, Marguerite (Roger), Alice (Gaston) et Cécile; et son frère ainé, Wilfred (Jeanine).
Elle était une femme remarquable avec une force intérieure incroyable. Elle manquera à sa famille élargie et à ses amis, mais vivra dans nos coeurs pour toujours.
Un service aura lieu le vendredi 11 octobre 2019 à 10h, dans l’Espace Sacré du Centre commémoratif national Beechwood (280 avenue Beechwood). La famille recevra les condoléances à compter de 9h30.
