CPL (Retired) Paul Robert Brisson
Friends, colleagues and family are saddened to announce the sudden yet peaceful passing of Paul Robert Brisson on Friday, October 14, 2022, in Ottawa, Ontario.
Paul is survived by his wife of 50+ years, Edith Brisson (born Lavoie). He was also a devoted father to Natalie (Stéphane MonPremier) and Eric Brisson (Mélanie Blais), and a loving grandfather to Nathan, Samuel, Théodore and Emery.
Paul was born in Legal, Alberta on December 4, 1945. He served as an officer and corporal for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for 31 years. Paul was an avid lover of all sports, including baseball, hockey, golf, and curling.
He was well known for his gregarious personality, positive attitude and deep reservoir of dad jokes.
He remained active well into his seventies as minor hockey referee and baseball umpire.
He was an inspiration to all who interacted with him, and to his family. Paul was a very caring husband, father, and grandfather. A mentor, coach and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all.
