With extreme sadness and the heaviest of hearts, we announce that Bob passed away peacefully on Friday, November 16 with his soulmate and loving wife of 40 years, Tina (Martina Cappellazzi) by his side.

Bob spent his youth and childhood in Clarence Creek. Predeceased by his parents Elian and Edmay (nee Nolan), brother Maurice (Glenna Gore), Bob is survived by sisters Carmen, Marie (Ernie Jacob), Arabella (Steve Black), cherished nephew Steve (Tammy Smith), and other nieces and nephews.

Bob enjoyed a dynamic, diverse and successful business life. Bob’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to become the Founder & CEO of Ottawa Industrial in the mid 1970’s. In 1979, Bob purchased the popular Earle House Restaurant in Wakefield, Quebec, and was also the proprietor of the four diamond French restaurant, Café Henry Burger in Gatineau, Quebec from the late 1970’s to early 1980’s. Together, in 1985, Bob and Tina started RCL Industrial Equipment Inc/RCL Bearing Service Inc until their retirement.

Bob lived his final days of life with determination, courage and gratitude, the hallmarks of Bob’s life. He was compassionate, an intellectual, a generous host with a fun-loving and wicked sense of humour.
While Bob and Tina had no children of their own, they had a magnetic attraction for the children of family and friends of all ages who were always warmly welcome in their home.

Bob was a loving and devoted husband and fierce tennis player. He derived great joy from afternoon and sunset cruises on Lac Bernard, where he and Tina spent their summers surrounded by their ‘Lac Bernard family’. Bob’s charisma, energy, laughter and optimism were contagious. Lives have been immeasurably enriched by anyone who was a friend of Bob.

Heartfelt gratitude to those who provided compassionate care and comfort to Bob during his brief illness. Nurse Amna and her colleagues on 5th floor north west, the ER staff at Ottawa Hospital General Campus, Dr. Bush and the palliative care team at Elisabeth Bruyere.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Beechwood, Cemetery and Funeral Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa
on Saturday, April 20, from 2-4 o’clock. In memoriam, donations can be made to Ottawa Hospital Cancer Foundation or Elisabeth Bruyere Foundation.
