Peacefully, on Monday, July 29, 2019, after a very brief, but courageous battle with cancer. Beloved and devoted wife of Serge. Loving mother of Carolyn and Jo-Anne. Proud grandmother of Emma. Predeceased by her parents Norman Earl Thebarge and Catherine Isabella Carroll. She leaves behind her sisters-in-law Ninon Jimmo (Elmo) and Chantal Bois (Normand), her nephews and nieces, and her many friends. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses on 5th floor East at the General Campus for their care and compassion. A Celebration of Norma’s Life will be held at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, on Sunday, August 11, 2019, from 12:30pm to 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ottawa Humane Society.
