After a long and sad battle with Alzheimer's, Pearl passed away peacefully on July 26, 2019 at the age of 78. She leaves behind her loving husband of 59 years, Normand. Her children will cherish her forever:  Daniel, David (Debra) and Liane (Barry). She is predeceased by her parents Elizabeth (Theriault) and Denis as well as her sister Lucille (Howard) and brother Robert (Brenda). She is survived by her brothers William (June), Charles (Kathy) and Louis. Pearl was a precious gem who loved to sew, shop, decorate and travel. Her greatest pleasure came from spending time with family and friends. The family is extremely grateful to the entire staff at the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre for their loving care and compassion.  Friends and family are invited to a Visitation, on Saturday, August 3rd, at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue,) at 11am followed by a Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre Foundation; the Dementia Society of Ottawa or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Norm and Family:
Best wishes at this difficult time. Pearl was really a “pearl” to us and to everyone who knew her. Both you and Pearl were so helpful during our time at Anderson Park and we have a lot of fond memories. She was a kind person and a loveable lady. Please accept our prayers and condolences.

I will always remember when I met Mrs. Saulnier, her smile, her kindness and her gentle voice. She shared with me how much she liked cats, when I mentioned that I have cats and showed her photos, her face lit up. She always welcomed me when I went to see her and when things were a little difficult for her, I would play soft, gentle music, which she liked. I asked her, “Can I call this Pearl’s Music?” Her response was, “I like that”. I will always remember this beautiful person and Pearl’s Music.

My condolences to Normand, Liane, Daniel and David.
