With heavy hearts the family announces that Carol passed away peacefully with her loving husband and sister by her side at the Ottawa General Hospital on Friday, October 15th, 2021.  She was 82.  Beloved wife of 62 years to Wesley Hann from Port aux Basque Newfoundland and daughter to James and Ivy Smith from Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.  Dear sister to Sherry.  Predeceased by sister Sharon (Reg) and brother Robert.  Mother to Holly, Cameron (Beth) and Leigh. Nan to 5 grandchildren and Nanny to 7 great-grandchildren.  Sister-in-law to Don and Mildred, Barb and Gerry (deceased), Al (deceased) and Emma.  She will be truly missed by all nieces and nephews and many friends from around the world.  A visitation will be held at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Ave.) on Friday, October 22nd from 12-1pm followed by a memorial service.  Special thanks to the entire staff of caregivers at the Ottawa General Hospital in the Emergency and ICU.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Foundation.
