After a long and sad battle with Alzheimer's, Pearl passed away peacefully on July 26, 2019 at the age of 78. She leaves behind her loving husband of 59 years, Normand. Her children will cherish her forever:  Daniel, David (Debra) and Liane (Barry). She is predeceased by her parents Elizabeth (Theriault) and Denis as well as her sister Lucille (Howard) and brother Robert (Brenda). She is survived by her brothers William (June), Charles (Kathy) and Louis. Pearl was a precious gem who loved to sew, shop, decorate and travel. Her greatest pleasure came from spending time with family and friends. The family is extremely grateful to the entire staff at the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre for their loving care and compassion.  Friends and family are invited to a Visitation, on Saturday, August 3rd, at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue,) at 11am followed by a Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre Foundation; the Dementia Society of Ottawa or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Liane, your mom was such a wonderful lady. She was so kind and polite and was always interested in what was going on when I visited. She raised a fabulous family with your Dad and you all should be so proud have had her in your lives. I'm so sorry for your great loss. xoxo

Liane, my heart aches with yours. Sending my deepest sympathy, and warm virtual hugs. Your mom was a beautiful lady - so full of energy and fun. She could out shop me and that is something all on its own :) Cherish your many fond family memories and the precious trips you had with your mom. I am so sorry that I can't be with you this weekend. Hugs to you, your Dad, Dan, Dave, Debra and Barry. All of you continue to be in my thoughts..... take good care.

Pearl made others' lives better. A real lady whose quiet demeanour hid a sharp wit and generous outlook. It was a pleasure to know her. Norm, you were lucky indeed and hope you will be able to take comfort in shared memories.

So sorry for your loss Norm. As you have said , Pearl is now at peace. It has been a tough several years for you and your family. We remember Pearl's smile from when we first moved here and met her. Pearl will be missed by all at Anderson Park who were fortunate to have known her.

To the Saulnier family,

I offer my deepest condolences on the loss of Mrs. Saulnier. Although I had the chance to meet her only a few times, the impression Mes. Saulnier left was one of a very gentle, friendly, funny and thoughtful person. She was very kind to me and to my family. May your fondest memories of her be a source of comfort and solace to you. May she rest in peace and light eternal.
