It is with sadness that we announce the passing of John Mattinson. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force for 31 years. After retirement, he continued to work for DND, Quality Manager at MEL and Lockheed Martin. Following this he spent 16+ winters in Florida and summered in Ottawa. He is survived by his sister Florence O’Henley, his brother Fred Mattinson and his nephew Matthew MacFarlane (Margaret). He was predeceased by his beloved wife Jean (Bradley) Mattinson and his brothers Frank and Bernie. I always remember him wearing socks with his sandals. I always teased him about it.
And he used to give me small brain teaser puzzles at Christmas, ones that he inevitably
had figured out. Rest in Peace uncle.
We are first cousins. To us he was known as Bosco - he was just a fine person - a good person -
