Passed away in Ottawa, on Friday, May 21, 2021 at the age of; 80 years. Beloved wife of Antonio “Tony” Machado. Loving mother of John (Mena). Cherished grandmother of Laura and Alexander. Survived by her sibling Odete (Jaime). Predeceased by her parents Joaquim and Emilia.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa). Due to the COVID 19 restrictions, a Private Family Service will be held followed by interment at Beechwood Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory, you may do so toward the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Dear John and Senhor Tony,
We just learned of the terrible sad loss (August 16). This news came so unexpected that we didn’t want to believe it. We are very heartbroken and in disbelief. There are no words that can bring you comfort during this difficult time. John please know your mom was so very proud of you and her grandkids. Every time we talked she would speak of you all with such love and happiness. Senhor Tony you will miss Senhora Lourdes in your daily activities. Life ahead won’t be easy without your dear wife, but somehow you will find the strength to go on. Senhora Lourdes was a very kind special lady, she will never be forgotten. Your cherished memories of her will always live on in your hearts as they will stay in ours.
