It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Marie Christiane “Sylvie” Trudeau on May 12, 2021 at the age of 63. She will be greatly missed by her husband and best friend Michael Swiech. She is survived by her brother Francois Trudeau (Joanne Durand) and sister in law to Gary Swiech (Bev), Donna Swiech, Terry Swiech (Cindy),Theresa Reid (Bill), Marie Swiech, Joan Schermerhorn (John D), and Paul Swiech. Also survived by cousins, neices and nephews. Predeceased by her parents.
Sylvie served as a postal clerk from 1976 until 1994. She was posted to Gagetown, Lahr, Moose Jaw ,Trenton, Egypt and Cyrpus.

A private family Memorial Service will be held on Thursday May 27, 2021 with internment at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces. Those wishing to virtually attend via livestream can register with link provided above.

My most sincere condolences to Mike, his and Sylvie's Families. I had the Honour to be part of the lovely ceremony yesterday and am very grateful for that. Sylvie and I have had a friendship for many years and feels to me that I'm losing not just a friend but a sister as well.
As I know Mike feels, though physically she may be absent, her spirit is with all of us, I can agree totally. I imagine we all feel that way!
