Aurel passed away in Toronto at the age of 69 after a yearlong battle with cancer.
He is survived by his brother Guy Langlois (Cheryl) Ottawa, sister Heather Gray (Walt) Halifax, nephews David (Carlee), Brian (Samantha), Daryl, Barry and Sean (Dijana) Hemeon.
He is predeceased by his parents Joan Langlois (Creighton) and Réal Langlois.
Aurel will be greatly missed by his friends & family.
Due to Covid restrictions, a gathering of invited family and friends for the interment will be held at the National Military Cemetery at Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Ave., Ottawa.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in his name to the Canadian Cancer Society.

With condolences to Guy and Heather, I have many warm memories of Aurel going back over 50 years since early days at SRB. I’m glad we kept in touch getting together in Ottawa and Toronto, sharing memories, remembering old friends, and catching up on each other’s lives. I never got out on his sailboat, and missed his intended drive by visit off the 401 on the way back from Ottawa seeing family several Christmas’ past, (bad winter storm made it the safer choice), but will always remember his laugh, humour, warmth and wit.

Last we spoke you were still thinking Costa Rica and I assumed you went there. Finding out you passed is so sad. May you rest with the Angels.
I will never forget your presence. From the time I was 17 years old you were a character larger then life. Thank you so much for all the work and effort you made on my behalf. I truly would not be the person I am today without having known you.
