Stephen William Raymond

Stephen William Raymond passed peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on the morning of January 26^th, 2020 at age 77.  He is sadly missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Bonnie and two sons, Joseph & Christopher.  Born February 18, 1942, son of Kenneth and Margaret Raymond (predeceased), brother to Deborah, James, George (predeceased) and Charles (predeceased).  Steve was dearly beloved by in-laws Beverlae & Doug Buckland, John & Catherine Brady, Joseph & Conni Brady, Elizabeth Brady, Brenda-Helen Giroux, Barbara & Greg Drury, Frances (deceased) & Reginald Lofthouse and very fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends.  A proud graduate of EOIT College, he will be sorely missed by his college buddies around the table on their Colonnade pizza nights.  Steve’s love of chemistry and computer science employed him at the National Research Council, the NRC Wind Tunnel and Environment Canada in Ottawa, ON, in addition to post-retirement projects such as Raymotech Systems Consulting.  For many years Steve was a pillar of the Hunt Club Community involved in activities for both youth and adults including Beavers and Boy Scouts’ leader, neighbourhood baseball leagues and first-hand involvement in local issues.  Steve’s family would like to thank the medical staff at the Ottawa Civic Vascular Unit and Heart Institute for their efforts and care.  A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the Spring for family and friends.
