W Brian MyersSadly, the Myers family wish to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Brian, after a heroic struggle against multiple organ failure. A proudly rooted Nova Scotian from the north end of Halifax, he was most proud of his loving family rather than his own accomplishments which were diverse. Brian was an officer in the Black Watch, a journalist and newspaper editor, president of the Nova Scotia Liberal party, and in various communications roles, including executive appointments, for the federal government. Brian touched many lives, shared special moments and created many good memories with family and friends. His wit, sense of humour and love for those around him was who he was. We wish to thank his medical team led by Dr. Sue Chue Lam for their care and support over the past years, as well as the staff at the Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre, O2W Section, for their unwavering kindness, patience and understanding. A celebration of life will be held at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services; however because of COVID-19 regulations, the service is by invitation only. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Kidney Foundation, Prostate Cancer Canada, or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Although I never met him, I do understand the heartbreak of losing a parent. It's hard. Parents are supposed to be invincible, even when we are 'grown up' and know better. Treasure your memories and keep them alive. God bless.

I am so sad to hear of Brian's passing. My condolences to you and all your family, Marilyn. Although my association with Brian was mostly limited to our curling club, I will always remember him as a person it was so nice to know.
