Harry was a larger-than-life friend for so many years, a kind and generous host with whom we shared many adventures on our travels around Ontario. To us Brits he really was ‘the true Canadian’, and even from so far away we will miss him beyond measure. Goodbye, our dear Canadian friend.

It is with a sadden heart to say goodbye to a person I have come to know fondly. Our talks will be missed. John will be in my mind and heart. Condolences to Ruth and her Family.

I huge thanks to Ruth for sending the memory card for Harry. I am so sorry to hear today of his passing. I remember our conversations with great fondness. His calm and gentle nature was inspiring and he always brought a smile or laugh to those around him. My life is richer for knowing both he and Ruth. My sincere condolences to Ruth and the Brookmyre family.
It is difficult to say goodbye to such a dear friend who is remembered for the fun and laughter
we shared over many years. Just the thought of Harry is a treat to the heart and he will be
sorely missed.
