May your soul rest in peace my dear grand-mother and you will be dearly missed, always.
Anahid Kechichian always Madam Kechichian to us. A lovely and strong woman who was totally devoted to her family and friends and empathetic to everybody she met. She was always cheerful and supportive through civil war and the massive changes and stress involved in migrating to Canada with her family. To those of us who knew and loved her she served as a model, that discipline and industry do not have to be accompanied by selfishness and indifference to others. I first met the Kechichians when her late husband Mardiros was working at the Canadian Embassy in war torn Beirut. Over time the Thomson family came to know and become friends to the Kechichians in Saudi Arabia and finally here in Canada. We will miss her and she will live on in our hearts and memory.
