With sadness the family of Peter Davies announces his death on August 20, 2019. Educated in Harlech and Aberystwyth, he came to Canada to a career he loved in the Patent Office. A proud Welshman, master chef, lover of opera, travel, Labrador dogs, Snowdonia climbs, Mozart, Morris Minors and the Guardian crossword, in no particular order.
Gwenda's rock and compass; most loved and loving dad to Paul & Sharon, Fiona (died 1972), Zoë & Lorne, Simon & Trena, and proud grandad to Henry and Theo. His extended family in Scotland, headed by Jean & John Shepherd, will also miss him dearly.
A service will be held at Beechwood Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 29. In lieu of flowers please consider supporting Leukaemia research or Guide Dogs for the Blind. The family thanks Dr. Shirin Lal for her truly devoted care and advocacy on Peter's behalf.

Yes. I shared rooms with Peter in the Patent Office in the late 1960s. Those days were when we were young! I fondly remember Peter, Gwenda, and mates in the Patent Office and beyond. Good times. My thoughts, from Ian, in Australia, March 2022.
Happy and fond memories of a great colleague and friend. We shared numerous work related trips together which were always fun and enjoyable.I will miss our interesting and varied conversations.Condolences to Gwenn and family.
