It is with profound sadness that the family of Mr. Paul Dillon announces his peaceful passing in Ottawa on October 18th, 2021, at the age of 84. In addition to his beloved wife Marielle, Paul is survived by their three children: Danny (wife Monique), Mark (wife Annik) and Joanne (husband Mario) and their 8 grandchildren: Michelle, Stephanie, Emilie, Chloë, Daphne, Alexandre, William and Joshua. He was predeceased by his sister Marilyn and is survived by his 4 sisters: Mary Edna, Barbara, Irene, Sharon and his 4 brothers: David, Joe, Eddy and Peter.
Paul was a leader and a very hard working and generous man who cherished his family and always thought of others first. He started a business, Dilfo Mechanical Ltd, with his business partner Edgar Fournier and a handful of other employees over 40 years ago. With the help of Paul’s son, Danny and the support of his wife, Dilfo grew into the very successful establishment that it remains known as today. Paul and Mary loved spending time at the cottage together where they worked hard to build a place to spend meaningful time with their children, grandchildren, friends and other family members. The cottage remains a special place where his family still gathers today. Paul was always generous, contributing to many charities and to his community. He was actively involved with the church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. His passing will leave a great void in the lives of all those who knew and loved him, and who will remember him especially for his thoughtfulness, his generosity, his selflessness and his strong work ethic. Paul believed in hard work, leading by example and doing the right thing in business and in his personal life. This loss will be felt for many years to come among his family, friends and colleagues.
Friends and Family are invited to visit the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa on Sunday, October 24th, 2021 from 2 to 4:00pm and from 7 to 9:00pm.

Quel grand homme !

I'm so sorry for your loss Danny. I'm sure we had a similar upbringing working alongside our fathers and learning the family business. My Dad is my best friend so I can only imagine the pain you are going through. My family's thoughts and prayers are with you all.
