Retired member of the R.C.M.P.
Passed away suddenly but peacefully on August 15, 2019. Born July 17, 1947 in Ottawa, Brian was a friend to all and was there for his family in every way. He was a charismatic, strong willed, endearing man. He loved cars, sports and listening to oldies music by the pool. Brian was a proud member of the R.C.M.P. Devoted husband of 49 years to Janet (nee Lee) - who passed in April 2019. The love he had for his beautiful wife brought him to her in the end, and the family is comforted knowing they are together again. Loving father to Blake Stanley (Sherri Brown), Sarah (Mark) Cairns (nee Stanley), and proud grandfather to Aaliyah and Ashlin Stanley and Isla Cairns. Predeceased by his parents Keith Stanley and Lois Gregory (nee Hay). Brother to Beverley Stanley Almond and Barry Stanley. Step-son to Wenda Stanley (nee Gough) and Don Gregory. Special thanks to the staff at Montfort Hospital. A Graveside Service for both Brian and Janet will be held in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police - Section 114 - Beechwood Cemetery.

My sincere condolences to your family. I worked with Brian and Janet over the span of many, many years. I recall how proud Brian was when he brought Blake to the office as a toddler. I can still picture Blake standing on a desk. Brian was always pleasant, engaged and he loved to laugh........he will be missed.
