Dear Ihab, Jean-Pierre and Leila.

I am so saddened to hear of your fathers passing. I saw him nearly everyday at work and he was always one of the highlights of my day. He spoke of each of you all the time and he was so proud of you. He was always telling corny little jokes to get a smile from me, and my children insisted that we had to pay Gus a visit every year at Christmas as he always had a little treat for them.

Sending my most heartfelt condolences to your whole family,

Rachel Perreault

I'm very sorry for your loss. I always looked forward to seeing Gus at the Delikat Cafe. He had such a warm and friendly personality. He spoke fondly of his children, his family, and of St. Elias. I will miss chatting with him. I'm sending much to his family and friends. I hope your wonderful memories of him bring you comfort during this difficult time.

I'm so sad to learn of Gus's passing. He was such a constant and positive presence at the Delikat Café. He never forgot a name, and he always asked after my son (also Gus), when I stopped in for lunch or coffee. He was always quick to brag about his own children, of whom he was so proud. It won't be the same going back to work and not seeing his friendly face, or having a bowl of his delicious lentil soup. He will be truly missed.

I am very sad to hear about the passing of our favourite Gus! I was a long standing customer of his, and was always happy to chat with him while my custom sandwiches were being made or he was sliding me the last slice of the lasagna, which always seemed to be a double portion. He will be missed by all the denizens of the downtown core especially his Justice family at EMB and SAT. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

I was very sad today to learn of the passing of Mr. Siouti ("Gus" to his Justice Canada customers). I will remember him as a friendly, respectful, caring person who everyone could rely on for excellent food and beverages. His passing marks the end of an era and he will be greatly missed. Deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I worked in the building above Delikat Café, which we all affectionately called "Guses". Gus, as he was known to us, was always there with a friendly hello and a warm delicious soup. An afternoon trip down to see him was something of a ritual for many of us working at Justice. I was so glad to see that Delikat was open (with reduced hours) during the pandemic. His presence and warmth will be missed. Condolences to all who knew and loved him.
