Passed away on Monday September 20 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Jeanne (née Pinard). Loving father to Stephan and proud grandfather to Meah and Daneeka. Dear brother to Claudette (late Gaston Boucher), Pauline (late Gilles Danis), Marc (Andrée Roy) Réjean (Carmen Lacombe), and Luc (Josée Dubois). Will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Alice (née Raiche) and Adélard Gilbert, as well as his sisters Diane and Lucie (Louis Hamel).
A private Family gathering and ceremony will be held in the Sacred Space of the Beechwood National Memorial Centre followed by interment at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces.
Donation in Honour of Jean-Noël may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Care Ottawa.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Jean-Noel was such a kind and the MOST helpful neighbour on Prestige Circle. I remember after the tornado, there he was the first one on the ground checking in to see if I was OK. His caring nature, active personality and leadership were so valued in this community.
